Massage and Reflexology help ease STRESS and ANXIETY
Massage and reflexology have become popular due to their ability to reduce the effects of stress and anxiety on the body. This can be physical, mental or emotional stress. If you are suffering from fatigue, irritability, the inability to sleep or general aches and pains, you may be suffering from stress. It's becoming widely accepted that stress and tension affect the body directly, and if left unchecked can go on to cause some quite serious diseases. Physical ailments due to sports activity or occupation can be eased with massage. Repetitive use of muscle groups can put an awful lot of pressure on the body; massage aims to relax taut muscles and get blood flowing into knotted muscle fibres again, therefore restoring ease of movement and easing pain.
Relax AND boost your immune system with reflexology!
Reflexology is now widely known for its boosting effect on the immune system. Foot reflexology treatments aid deep relaxation and monthly treatments can help to keep those colds and viruses at bay during the winter months. People report that reflexology is helping with many health problems including IBS, menstrual issues and neuropathy. As an aromatherapist I can also use essential oils on the feet during a reflexology treatment to enhance the desired effect.
Indian Head Massage
The perfect treatment for someone new to being massaged. Seated - no clothes removed - and no oil used so you can have this treatment on your lunchbreak and you won't have to go back to work oily! Indian head massage focuses strongly on releasing tension in the upper back, shoulders, neck and of course the head! Massaging the head encourages the supply of oxygen to the brain, which is one of the best ways of reducing stress. Oxygen helps you think clearly and creatively - the same effect is brought about through exercising.
